Over 550,000 Applications Received For Police Recruitment – PSC

Over 550,000 candidates have applied for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force, the Police Service Commission (PSC) disclosed on Tuesday.
The PSC Chairman, Sir Mike Okiro, made the disclosure when he met with Senate Committee on Police.

He, however, noted that only ten thousand spaces are available.
Also speaking at the meeting, the Inspector General of Police, Mr Solomon Arase, assured that only credible applicants would be recruited into the Force.
Recall that following President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive, the PSC commenced the process of recruiting 10,000 eligible Nigerians into various cadres of the Force on April 1.
